Donna’s efforts combine building the agency’s health and science IR and PR practices, strategic direction, staff growth and core competencies. Under Donna’s leadership, LaVoieHealthScience has become an acknowledged leader in health science strategic communications and recognized as one of the top 30 independent healthcare agencies in the US. The agency has received over 50 awards for its clients’ work. She is a regular speaker and has written on a range of industry topics for BIO Innovation Organization (BIO) and more.
As PharmaVoice100 2020 recipient, Donna has been recognized for “moving the needle” and creative approaches to solving complex communications challenges. She spearheaded the agency’s trademarked services, The LHS Immersion® process as well as The LHS Fifteen Slide Presentation, which forms the basis for how to tell your story. In 2019, Donna formed a global strategic alliance with Omnicom Public Relations Group to augment the agency’s services with scale and geographic expansion for client success. In 2023, LaVoieHealthScience joined the IPREX Global PR & Communication Network, connecting independent agencies in more than 100 markets across the globe. Prior to starting LHS, Donna was a practitioner at signature biotech’s such as Genzyme Corporation (Sanofi), Alkermes, Inc. and Millennium (Takeda) and led the investor communications function at a Nasdaq-100 technology company. She is also on the Board of Advisors Life Science Cares and Advisor around communications strategy and telling your story to the Termeer Foundation and its Fellows.
