LaVoieHealthScience is looking for recent college graduates interested in gaining experience in public relations and marketing in the growing life science industry. (Highly-qualified College seniors with relevant experience may also be considered for immediate placement).
Are you looking to gain agency experience? Our team is looking for a creative, self-starter who can roll up their sleeves and take initiative on various public relations and marketing projects.
LaVoieHealthScience interns work with an innovative account team on key pharma and biotech accounts as well as assisting with agency marketing efforts. Our interns grow professionally through exposure to a wide range of corporate marketing and communications, media relations and investor relations accounts and projects. While the internship term is three months, interns are brought in with the idea that if there is a good match, they will be offered a full time, permanent position.
In this role the intern will assist with:
Support agency’s marketing initiatives through social media planning and content development on agency channels. Assist with newsletter creation and distribution, as well as updates to marketing materials and the LHS website. Support agency e-mail campaigns through Mail Chimp: assist marketing team in putting together monthly e-mail campaigns, review campaign analytics for insights/improvement opportunities.
Assist teams with research efforts, media list building and media audits, as well as updates to media database, creating and updating media trackers and reporter background briefings. Interns will conduct in-depth research projects to support account teams and new business initiatives. Research, draft and distribute agency releases.
Life Science Conference Calendar:
Identify, update, and keep track of upcoming medical, investor and partnering conferences and update calendar events on LHS website as well as Word document used as PDF calendar on website to be updated at the end of each month.
Work with team to identify top LHS focused awards, update and circulate award tracker document to marketing team at the end of each month, track feedback from team award plan and deadline dates, research agency work for award submission inclusion after reviewing award criteria, proactively reach out to account team to solicit ideas of client work that could be submitted. Research awards by therapeutic area for clients and record; create/update client award submission calendar.
Track recent initial public offering and drug approval announcements for potential outreach and support preparation for new business meetings and calls as needed.
Candidates must have a strong desire to learn and interest in healthcare/science, an understanding of social media and strong technical/computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- 2-year/Community College/Certificate students must have completed an Associate degree or certificate program within the past year
- 4-year undergraduate college students must have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the past year
This is a full-time, paid internship at a rate of $17/hr.
